Fairmont Copley Plaza’s Canine Ambassador Program
For guests who miss canine companionship when traveling, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts offer a distinctive service at select properties with resident hotel dogs known as “Canine Ambassadors.” Here in Boston, Fairmont Copley Plaza is proud to continue its legacy of offering warm and friendly services to guests with Cori Copley, a five-year-old female black Labrador adopted from the Guide Dog Foundation. As our pet-friendly hotel’s Canine Ambassador, Cori joins guests on walks and runs, socializes with visitors, stops by meeting breaks upon request, and serves as a community liaison by appearing at neighborhood and charitable events. She follows in the pawsteps of Carly Copley and our first Canine Ambassador, the famous Catie Copley.
Dogs of Fairmont are treated like VIPs (Very Important Pups). Book our signature Fairmont Furiend room package to treat your four-legged family member to a luxury stay with canine perks.

Canine Ambassadors of Fairmont Copley Plaza
Our journey began in 2004 with our first hotel dog, Catie Copley, adopted from the Guide Dog Foundation. Her dedication to hospitality and sweet temperament towards our littlest guests made her a bone-a-fide celebrity that inspired two children’s books: Catie Copley and Catie Copley’s Great Escape. A true icon, when she passed in 2017, the City of Boston declared June 23 “Catie Copley Day” in remembrance of her service. Many locals and travelers still pay homage to Catie by visiting her memorial plaque located outside our Dartmouth Street entrance. Our second Canine Ambassador, Carly Copley, joined the pack alongside Catie in 2013. She was adopted from the Animal Rescue League of Boston and was known for her annual sold-out birthday pawty, riding the bell cart pretending to be luggage and lots of snoozing while on the clock. She retired from her hotel duties in 2019 and crossed the rainbow bridge shortly thereafter.
In 2019, the legacy continued when we welcomed Cori Copley as Fairmont Copley Plaza’s third Canine Ambassador. She is a five-year-old black Lab who was adopted from the Guide Dog Foundation, just like Catie. After being raised as a guide dog trainee, the organization decided that Cori was ultimately better suited for a career in hospitality, and doggone they were right! Luxury hotel life was Cori’s calling. As a member of our guest services team, she spends her days relaxing on her lobby bed watching the comings and goings of travelers, eagerly awaiting belly rubs and playtime with new friends.

Cori spends most of her time roaming the hotel’s regal lobby, where she welcomes travelers by the front desk and can be seen dozing between walks. Cori has big paws to fill following Catie and Carly’s reign, and luckily has the best teacher. Her caretaker is the hotel’s longtime concierge, Joe Fallon, who also looked after Catie. Joe and his concierge team maintain an appointment schedule where guests can book walks or runs with Cori around Copley Square or appearances during conference meetings. Guests may also email the concierge desk to schedule time with Cori during their stay.
