Fairmont Furiend
At Fairmont Copley Plaza, every stay is unforgettable…even for our furry friends. Dogs big and small receive our award-winning treatment the moment their paws step foot inside. While many hotels are pet-friendly, we are world-famous for this travel amenity thanks to our beloved Canine Ambassador program. For nearly 20 years, our luxury hotel has “employed” dogs to greet guests and provide companionship for travelers who may miss their own pup back home. Cori Copley is our Canine Ambassador, a five-year-old black Labrador adopted from the Guide Dog Foundation. She roams the hotel’s regal lobby offering playful (and adorable) service, can be found zooming through Copley Square during “work breaks,” and has her very own Instagram. *Scroll down to learn about our dog-friendly history*
Our signature Fairmont Furiend package is for your four-legged family member who deserves to live in the lap of luxury while on vacation. Upon arrival, your goodest girl or boy will be welcomed into our pack with a curated guide to Boston’s top dog-friendly spots to help build your itinerary of walks, shops and parks to visit. Plus, a sticker of Cori herself. To really get your pup’s tail waggin’, Fairmont Copley Plaza partnered with Boston Barkery, a premium pet boutique & bakery located across the street at Copley Place mall, on an exclusive biscuit box gift filled with yummy hotel and Cori-themed treats. These all-natural, photo-worthy decorated biscuits are handmade in Massachusetts and baked fresh for your best furiend.
#DogsofFairmont get VIP perks! Included is a Boston Barkery discount card so you and your cute travel pawtner can save 20% off storewide for some retail therapy. A new addition to this package is a complimentary Brush & Go service at ONYVA, a luxury dog spa just three blocks away on Newbury Street. The tidying service includes a complete brush & organic designer dry shampoo spray. It only takes 15-20 minutes, making it convenient for your pup’s busy travel schedule! While on property, make sure to snap plenty of puparazzi photos because we want to feature your dog’s hotel escapades on Cori’s popular Instagram. Tag @CoriCopley, or send a photo via direct-message, and we’ll spotlight your pooch in her Instagram Story. Cori’s paws are crossed that she will be “working” during your stay so she can meet you in the lobby to say hello for the ultimate furry Fairmont experience. Apologies in advance if Cori has PTO (pawsome time off) and is not available.

Canine Ambassadors of Fairmont Copley Plaza
Our journey began in 2004 with our first hotel dog, Catie Copley, adopted from the Guide Dog Foundation. Her dedication to hospitality and sweet temperament towards our littlest guests made her a bone-a-fide celebrity that inspired two children’s books: Catie Copley and Catie Copley’s Great Escape. A true icon, when she passed in 2017, the City of Boston declared June 23 “Catie Copley Day” in remembrance of her service. Many locals and travelers still pay homage to Catie by visiting her memorial plaque located outside our Dartmouth Street entrance. Our second Canine Ambassador, Carly Copley, joined the pack alongside Catie in 2013. She was adopted from the Animal Rescue League of Boston and was known for her annual sold-out birthday pawty, riding the bell cart pretending to be luggage and lots of snoozing while on the clock. She retired from her hotel duties in 2019 and crossed the rainbow bridge shortly thereafter.
In 2019, the legacy continued when we welcomed Cori Copley as Fairmont Copley Plaza’s third Canine Ambassador. She is a five-year-old black Lab who was adopted from the Guide Dog Foundation, just like Catie. After being raised as a guide dog trainee, the organization decided that Cori was ultimately better suited for a career in hospitality, and doggone they were right! Luxury hotel life was Cori’s calling. As a member of our guest services team, she spends her days relaxing on her lobby bed watching the comings and goings of travelers, eagerly awaiting belly rubs and playtime with new friends. Cori has big paws to fill following Catie and Carly’s reign, and luckily has the best teacher. Her caretaker is the hotel’s longtime concierge, Joe Fallon, who also looked after Catie. Joe and his concierge team maintain an appointment schedule where guests can book walks around Copley Square or appearances during conference meetings. Keep up with Cori’s adventures by following her on Instagram: @CoriCopley. Or send her an email: Cori.Copley@Fairmont.com
