Michter’s Distillery Tasting Event
Wednesday, November 12 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Join us at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen for an evening with Michter’s Distillery, featuring complimentary tastings of three of their highly allocated special releases.
Michter’s carries a proud legacy tracing back to 1753, honoring the heritage of America’s first whiskey company. Originally known as Shenk’s and later Bomberger’s, the distillery evolved into the Michter’s brand we know today, one deeply rooted in American whiskey history.
According to Pennsylvania lore, George Washington himself purchased rye whiskey from the distillery to fortify his troops during the harsh winter at Valley Forge—a testament to the enduring quality and reputation of Michter’s spirits.
At this tasting, guests are invited to sample:
- Michter’s 10 Year Single Barrel Rye
Deep notes of vanilla and toffee, toasted almonds and cinnamon with an ample dose of crushed pepper and a hint of orange citrus
- Bomberger’s Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon
A dynamic experience transitioning from floral, jammy, sweet and salty flavors through to lingering spicy notes accenting characters of chocolate and berries - Shenk’s Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey
Offers a rich toasty, sweet, experience highlighting baking spice, dried fruits, toffee, nougat and burnt sugar
As a special bonus, the first 25 guests will receive a ticket for a complimentary “No. 4” cocktail—OAK Long Bar + Kitchen’s blend of Michter’s Rye, Domaine de Canton, Campari, and Peychaud’s Bitters—redeemable only during the event.
Come raise a glass and celebrate one of America’s most storied whiskey makers.
